Dear Abrams Towing:
 
Having called CIBC Auto Service yesterday afternoon their call centre referred a tow truck from your organization to Leaside Towers in Thorncliffe Park.  My car wouldn't start and had to be taken to Victoria Park Automotive at 132 Railside Road. 
 
Since I didn't ask the name of the driver of this tow truck, I simply want to tell you what a very nice young man was sent to do this job.  He was polite, courteous and had a very nice demeanor all 'round.  One doesn't always relish the thought of having a tow truck come to one's home for an auto reason but this young made the whole experience as good as it could possibly be.

Last night my car broke down. Your man Ali was very efficient and had the car hooked up safely in a few minutes. I could not go with him so I explained verbally that I wanted the car dropped off at my office. I mentioned that my mechanic was next door to my office. Ali did better than my instructions, he put the car right in front of my mechanics shop.   Abrams did a great job, when you see Ali please thank him for me.

I would like to make you aware of a situation I had with respect to Abrams Towing on January 9, 2008.

The gentleman I work for bought a 1955 Jaguar XK140 and had it shipped to Toronto from England and we were dealing with Buckland Customs when the shipment arrived.

When the vehicle finally arrived and had gone through all the necessary inspections, Buckland Customs let me know that Abrams Towing would be calling me to arrange the delivery of the vehicle to Richmond Hill, and someone from Abrams would call me, as I wanted to be there for the delivery of the vehicle.

On Friday January 9, Eric called me from Abrams Towing to say he would be at the residence between 12 and 1pm on that date. I left work and arrived at the location at 12:30pm.

At 12:45pm, Abrams Towing showed up, and I introduced myself to Eric who was the driver of the truck delivering the vehicle.

The point to my letter, is that I want to compliment your choice of drivers. Eric was the most pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and professional driver I ever could have hoped to deal with. I had no idea what to expect or what would be expected of me. Eric did it all!!! I just want you to know that Eric made this experience vitually painless for me, and he was a true gentlemam to deal with.

My name is Ian Sweet and today I had the opportunity to utilize your company's services and I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the efforts of one of your tow truck operators  "Mike" from Newmarket.   To begin, yesterday (Sunday), I discovered that I had a flat tire on my 2006 Chevrolet Aveo. The tire was repaired at the Newmarket Canadian Tire for what I was informed was a simple puncture within the tread of the tire.   However, today, I went to my car, only to find that the same tire was flat again. I contacted my Roadside Assistance number and they dispatched "Mike".   Mike arrived promptly and began the process of attempting to remove the flat and replace it with my spacesaver spare. However, he was unable to even loosen the lug nuts as Canadian Tire had put them on too tight. Mike immediately hooked up my car and together we went to Canadian Tire. On the way, Mike explained to me the possible consequences of torquing aluminum rims too hard and stated to me that he would inform the Canadian Tire Supervisor of this fact for me.   Upon our arrival at Canadian Tire, Mike noted that the Supervisor was an acquaintance of his and he went and explained the whole situation to her. Needless to say, I was moved to the front of the line and my car was promptly dealt with. It was then discovered that in addition to the tread puncture, that there was a sidewall puncture as well. How this was not discovered the first time by Canadian Tire on Sunday was not explained to me.   The saga did however end reasonably well. I received a full refund and Canadian Tire pointed me the right direction to obtain a new tire.   I have little doubt that without Mike's assistance in speaking with the Supervisor at Canadian Tire and explaining what they had done during the initial repair of my tire, I not only would have waited an inordinate amount of time to have my serviced, but that I also would not have received a refund.   As a former military officer, I have had many opportunities to deal with professionals. From what I have seen about your employee, Mike is definitely a professional and I trust that you will consider him to be an asset to your business.

On Thursday August 14th, 2008 at approx. 1:30am I was on my way home from Toronto when I experienced car problems, and eventually my vehicle died at York Mills and Silverdale.
  
I called your company to assist me and within minutes a tow truck was onscene. The tow truck operator who's name was Randy was very helpful and that is the reason for my letter. Randy is certainly the type of employee that brings credit to your company and the whole towing service in general. He was very professional, and courteous. His cheerful and helpful demeaner made a positive impact on a rather negative situation.

I had the misfortune of getting my vehicle stuck in a very awkward position this afternoon. The motor accelerated as I turned the key in the ignition and I ended up half-way up a small hill with my front tires locked behind a curb at the top. Luckily, no one was hurt, although my two-and-a half year old son was quite impressed.

I called for a tow from Abrams given that I had been serviced by your organization in the past, and the name sounded familiar. A Mr. Robert Chowns arrived exactly when I was told he would, and he proceeded to very carefully examine the car and the position it had come to rest upon, in order to minimize the chance of additional damage.

I was thoroughly impressed with Mr. Chowns' professionalism and attention to detail. Even thought it was the end of what certainly must have been a long day for him, he didn't let that comprimise the high level of service he was most obviously committed to delivering.

In the end, my vehicle was brought down with minimal damage, and I felt the need to convey my graditude to Abrams and your employee, Mr. Chowns.

I am writing this letter to say thank you to one of your tow truck drivers, Angelo. I was involved in a traffic incident at the corner of Keele and Broadoaks on Monday at around 6:45pm and my car was not drivable.

Angelo arrived on scene to tow the car for me. I just expected him to say "OK, Your car is on the truck, what do you want me to do?" But no, Angelo helped me call the insurance company, told me which collision repair facility was closest that they would recommend to go to (and he was right), and basically arranged the rental car for me too. My insurance company had told me to go to Enterprise for the car rental but none of their offices were open at 8:10pm when we left the accident scene. Angelo said that Advantage would be open and that they were right down the street from the collision repair place. I called my insurance company back to confirm that going with advantage would be all right and they said yes so Angelo started calling for me and getting the car arranged.

When we arrived at the collision repair place, Angelo kept the truck heated for me (as I was still rather shaken from the accident) while he waited for the rental car to be brought over. He even bought me a coffee! I have never been involved in a car crash like that before and would have imagined that there were people out there who would be so above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty helpful.

Angelo, I can't say thank you enough. and that Abrams you have a great person working for you. Can I recommend him for 'Driver of the Month'? Recommend him for a raise?

Thank you again and I will certainly recommend Abrams to anyone who is looking for any of the services you provide ( I checked your website and see you have a variety of services, not just towing).
